How do I generate a nil report or at least have that State listed in the reports menu?
I do not have any Sales Tax transactions to a particular State, but I would still like to generate a “Nil” report for that State and make notes for my own purposes on a State by State basis.

It may be important to run a nil report for audit purposes and keep a hard copy. States that have sales tax activity are automatically included in the reportable States list. States will also be listed, even if they have no sales tax activity, if a “note” has been created for that State in the Sales Tax Activity screen. To do this go to the SALES TAX ACTIVITY screen, then scroll down and locate the State you want to generate a Nil report for. Then Press on the State name. A new screen displays where the user can write numerous notes on a State by State basis. On the top right corner of this screen there is a “Report” button, – tap on this button to make the State reportable. Then tap on “Save”. A Green dot will display against the States name in the Sales Tax Activity screen to indicate the State will appear on the Reports screen State list for Sales Tax Reporting. You can also use the “Report” switch to disable the report setting.

Note: If the State has any sales tax transactions it will be reportable by default, and this cannot be turned off as long as there is a transaction in that state.
