How do I record payments made to me from invoices sent to my clients?

Go to the ADMINISTRATION screen and then Tap on ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE. Then select the transaction. Then three choices are presented at the base of the screen;

  • You can either choose to record a part payment by selecting “Part Paid” – Important: KIS BOOKS limits Part Payments to a maximum of six part payments.
  • You can create a credit memo by selecting “Credit Memo” (this effectively discounts the invoice and KIS BOOKS will reverse any sales tax affects proportionally on an accrual basis). Important KIS BOOKS will proportion the Credit across all the elements (both sales taxable and non-sales taxable) on the invoice.
  • Or if the outstanding amount is fully paid select “Fully Paid”.
