KIS Books initializes sales tax values based on the delivery address for Destination based transactions. What happens when a sale to a client requires the sales tax to be ascertained by my client’s business address not the delivery address?

KIS Books initializes sales tax values based on the delivery address for Destination based transactions. What happens when a sale to a client requires the sales tax to be ascertained by my client’s business address not the delivery address?

This can occur where a State requires supplies such as software to attract sales tax at the client’s Business address rather than their Delivery address. Where your business contact’s Business Address and Delivery Address are different, and, this would create a sales tax discrepancy, then you may be able to edit the sales tax rates depending on the sales tax mix and locations, or, you will be required to enter an additional Business contact for this client for these type of sales where the delivery address for these goods is the business address. Being sure in future transactions to select the correct business contact details for the type of sale. If it is a ‘‘one off” transaction the delivery address can be edited to suit the sale and reset after the sale is complete.
